Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Docbly (docbly.com) handles information when you use this website and its document generators. Docbly is operated by an independent developer based in India.

The short version

The text you type into any generator on Docbly — your name, your employer, your manager's name, your reasons for leaving, and anything else — is processed entirely inside your own web browser. It is never transmitted to us, never stored on a server, and never saved to a database. Closing the tab discards it. We could not read your letter if we wanted to.

Information we do not collect

• We do not have user accounts, so we never ask for a name, email address or password.
• We do not receive, log or store the contents of any document you generate on this site.
• We do not sell personal information, because we do not hold any to sell.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit Docbly and which pages they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard technical information such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google anonymizes), your device and browser type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the site or search engine you arrived from. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Docbly intends to display advertising through Google AdSense in order to keep the tools free to use. When advertising is active on this site, the following applies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Cookies

Besides the analytics and advertising cookies described above, Docbly stores a single preference in your browser's local storage to remember whether you chose light or dark mode. That value never leaves your device and is not a tracking identifier.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, Cloudflare's infrastructure processes standard request data such as IP addresses in the course of delivering pages to you and protecting the site from abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Docbly is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete on request. If you have a question about data held by Google in connection with analytics or advertising on this site, or a request relating to your privacy, contact us and we will help where we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, when advertising goes live. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
